A sweet and silent place to have some good food

I think it important to note first and foremost that this restaurant is billed as a bistro. This is not a fancy restaurant and I think not really meant to be; however, that should not be taken to imply that the food is not top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our selections. Our server was very friendly and provided knowledgeable and well received suggestions for our meal. The servings were more than ample and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal in a casual atmosphere.

I had the small pizza.Guys!! This is amazing food!!All fresh toppings, a great crust, and plenty for 1 person--possibly 2!!I will definitely be back to try other dishes!!

The best Mediterranean food in Columbia, hands down. And I've eaten at all of them, several times each.Arabesque is the second best, no matter the dish.

Over the years this restaurant has had multiple locations; the current version is a Mediterranean sandwich/small plate cafe. It is now on North Main. The food is good, with particularly tasty falafel, but the service was patchy. I recommend it overall.

We love Al Amir. Been following them around Columbia ever since I've lived here. Muhammad and his wife are so kind. Her desserts are incredible. We love the appetizer sampler, Lebanese pizza, and Greek salad, falafel. I loved when they were over on campus I would go regularly as a student. The new location is great.

Casual dining. Excellent food. Shawarma is soooooo tasty. All of the salads are delicious and of very generous size. Service is very friendly. They treat you like family.

The sign says Meditaranian Grill, with Nomi and other 9n small print above and below...a bit confusing. Pleasant and clean inside. Fabulous Food!!!

If you're really into Middle-Eastern cuisine, you'll know that it does not fit the fast food industry. Food has to be slowly marinated and cooked. This was one of the few times I really had a great meal at a restaurant. It is just like grandma's cooking. On top of that, the atmosphere will carry you across oceans into the heart of good-times. The staff are super friendly and they will always smile and treat you with respect. I loved this place and I will sure visit again whenever I am in Columbia, SC.

The food is so delicious, the bread baked freshly, the meat is juicy and tasty, the staffs are very kind, the owner of the restaurant names Mohammed is very kind and honest.

Wow! BEST hummus I've ever had. BEST falafel I've ever had. My co-workers and I ordered from Al-Amir's for lunch today and we were all in heaven! Food was ready just when they said it would be- took maybe 15min for 4 meals plus appetizers to be ready for pickup. All the food was AMAZING, 4 of us agreed and could not stop raving! Just wished I'd remembered to take a pic of our food before we inhaled it!Thanks!

Nice place. Had the pizza. Was ok. Little overcooked on one side. Could have been better if it wasn't overcooked on that one side. Mind the pizza better by turning around in oven.

The food here was pretty good. I had the chicken shawarma wrap which I did enjoy. Although I did order my food to go I still noticed how was very warm it was inside. Overall though the food was good and the staff seemed pleasant.

Best restaurant in Cottontown/Earlewood area, hands down. The food is fresh and delicious. I always feel welcome there because the owner is a great guy! The eggplant pizza is amazing and should not be missed.

Have never had this kind of food until they moved to Main Street. Food is awesome and the staff are so friendly! Don't be intimidated by the menu... Just ask the staff to explain! Also order ahead and get it to go!

We had kufta, veggie bowl, falafel, baba ganoush. Everything was delicious. Large portions, good service. Highly recommended.
